I met Shelby at a cat show in 2001. A local rescue group, KittyCorner, had several cats available for adoption. I really liked Shelby, but I already had my hands full with the Comstock cats. KittyCorner has a sponsorship program, so I “adopted” Shelby.
Shelby was born to a rescued mother at KittyCorner on March 11, 1998. She was adopted, but the family had large dogs and Shelby couldn’t cope. She returned to KittyCorner, where she lived contently until 2010. Shelby was adopted again, and lived happily in her forever home until her death in 2013.
